Stage 3 is where custom hardware meets bespoke tuning. If you’ve fitted a larger turbo, injectors, or supporting fuel and cooling mods, this level of calibration ensures every part works together. It’s engineered power — not just peak numbers.
What Is a Stage 3 Remap?
Stage 3 tuning is fully custom calibration designed for extensively modified vehicles. It goes beyond bolt-ons — ideal when you’ve added bigger turbochargers, uprated fueling, race intercoolers, or internal engine work. Every engine behaves differently at this level, so we log, adjust, and refine the tune around your car’s data.
Stage 3 isn’t generic — it’s bespoke. We only map once hardware is verified and sensors are healthy.
Example Stage 3 Builds & Gains
All values depend on hardware, fuel quality, and supporting mods. These examples are for reference only.
| Engine / Example Build | Stock (PS / Nm) | Stage 3 (PS / Nm) | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| VAG 2.0 TSI (EA888) — hybrid turbo + HPFP + IC | 230 / 350 | 360–420 / 500–550 | Custom boost control; 99 RON fuel recommended. |
| BMW B58 — upgraded turbo + meth or E30 mix | 340 / 500 | 450–520 / 650–700 | Requires HPFP & cooling upgrades; dyno tuned. |
| Ford Focus ST 2.0 EcoBoost — big turbo + fueling | 250 / 360 | 360–400 / 550–600 | Built engine recommended for upper range. |
| VAG 2.0 TDI — hybrid turbo + DPF-safe tune | 150 / 340 | 230–260 / 480–520 | Clean EGT control; no smoke maps. |
Why Go Stage 3?
Tailored Power
We tune for your hardware, goals and fuel. Whether it’s track-focused or fast-road, the calibration suits your setup — not someone else’s file.
Extensive Testing
Every Stage 3 map involves iterative data logging, EGT monitoring, and boost/fuel validation under load — so you get sustainable performance.
Ongoing Support
Hardware evolves. We can refine the tune later as you upgrade more components or change fuel blends.
Risks & Considerations
Stage 3 tuning pushes mechanical and thermal boundaries. It must be done right — and only on engines proven healthy.
| Risk / Factor | Impact | Our Approach |
|---|---|---|
| Weak engine internals | Stock rods or pistons may not handle torque increase. | We’ll review known engine limits and recommend reinforcement where needed. |
| Fuel quality & supply | Insufficient octane or pump flow can cause knock or lean conditions. | We calibrate for your available fuel, and log AFR and pressure live. |
| Heat & cooling | High boost = high temps. Cooling upgrades are essential. | We taper torque to protect EGT and IAT, ensuring repeatable power. |
| Transmission torque limits | Stock clutches and TCU software may struggle with output. | Gearbox tuning and clutch upgrades recommended. |
| Warranty & legality | Stage 3 tunes are not manufacturer-approved for road use. | For motorsport or off-road vehicles only; road cars tuned within compliance. |
